Sugamya Foundation has been envisioned as a national platform committed to promoting accessibility across every sphere of life. The Foundation works to encourage accessibility in digital technologies, public infrastructure, education, transportation, healthcare, tourism, government services and consumer products.
The Foundation seeks to bridge the gap between policy and implementation by creating awareness among citizens, educational institutions, government agencies, industries and civil society. It aims to develop knowledge resources, conduct accessibility studies, encourage research, organize awareness campaigns and support institutions in adopting inclusive practices.
Our long-term vision is to establish a comprehensive knowledge and resource centre for accessibility in India while promoting Universal Design principles so that accessibility benefits everyone including persons with disabilities, elderly citizens, children and people with temporary mobility limitations.
